Souvigny’s Marché d’antan reconstructs a chapter of rural life in Allier through work, trade and collective memory. The story of Maison Schuman, once devoted to washing wool and making mattresses, places local manufacturing and everyday craft at the centre of the visit. A reenactment of transhumance recalls the movement of livestock through the countryside, linking the market atmosphere to farming practices that shaped the territory.
