Expérimentation Dendrites introduces George Sand’s visual practice through a compact, hands-on watercolour workshop in Saint-Amand-Montrond. Participants use the dendrite technique to generate branching, organic marks that can be developed into bucolic landscapes. Chance supplies the first forms, but observation and individual decisions determine how each image takes shape. The small group, limited to eight people, allows close attention to materials and to the transformation from accidental pattern to composed scene. Open to all levels, the session reveals an artistic dimension of Sand beyond her writing and reconnects her love of landscape with the immediate pleasure of making one appear on paper through colour, water, pressure, patience and careful close looking.

George Sand’s dendrite technique becomes an intimate watercolour workshop for creating bucolic landscapes from branching marks.
