George Sand Talk in Lignières: A Literary Journey

Marked as cancelled, this planned talk in Lignières was conceived as a journey through George Sand’s work and the Berry places that shaped it. Mickaël Ragot, author of Promenade autour de George Sand en Berry, drew on extensive visits to sites associated with the writer. His approach joined aesthetic observation with literary interpretation, allowing landscape and text to clarify one another. The intended route moved beyond a conventional biography by treating houses, villages and countryside as active parts of Sand’s imagination. Although the public encounter will not proceed, its subject remains precisely defined: a place-based reading of an author whose regional geography is inseparable from her books for Berry readers.
