Aimé and Simone Brun’s miniature Provençal village brings everyday rural scenes to life. Among its 341 santons, 114 move, including washerwomen, a baker, a potter and an ironworker. Models of Pierrelatte’s Rocher, Tour de l’Horloge and Chapelle des Pénitents connect this detailed craft display with the town’s own historic landmarks.

Haydn and Bruch with the Regional Orchestra
Orchestre national Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes presents a chamber programme pairing Haydn and Bruch. Haydn’s F minor String Quartet from Opus 20 features Harumi Ventalon and Mizuka Ohashi on violin. Bruch’s final composition expands the ensemble to a string octet in B flat major. Four violins, two violas, cello and double bass shape its larger sound.

Around sixty food producers take part in Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne’s market. Dombes fish, cheese, poultry, game and charcuterie share the stalls with seasonal fruit and vegetables. Flowers, young plants and live poultry add to the selection, while a separate stretch of stalls sells manufactured goods including clothing and furniture.
Buis-les-Baronnies Provençal Market
Olives, cheeses and Baronnies apricots are among the foods sold at Buis-les-Baronnies’ Provençal market. Local producers and food artisans share the stalls, with honey, olive oil, fruit and vegetables changing the shopping basket through the seasons. The market expands in summer, spreading from the arcades into more of the village’s streets and squares.
Rail and Trail: Les Bois de Chamonix
Rail and Trail explores Les Bois, Les Tines and Paradis des Praz through a family nature and heritage quiz. The tourist office designed the activity to introduce the area’s history and traditions. Its route combines village discoveries with woodland and riverside paths. A downloadable Au Fil du Rail booklet supports the exploration, and the activity is free.
